You can enhance the life of your wollen carpet for a long time provided you look after it right from the start.

• A new carpet will tend to fluff and shed some of its pile in the frist few weeks. This is normal, so do not worry.

• If a few strands stand out above the surface of the pile, do not pull,but cut it off with scissors, to level it to the pile.
  
  
• Keep the carpet completley dry. Dampness and excessive humidity may harm the carpet.
  
  
• Heavy Furniture should not be placed on the carpet as it defaces the pile.
  
  
• The carpet should be rolled instead of folded, in case it is not being used.
  
  
• If you notice any damege to the carpet, contact a professional repairer as soon as possible.
  
  

Brushing  Vacuming

• The best way to clean the carpet is with a broo brush (Jhadu) in the direction of the pile.
  
  
• Frequent vacumingis recommended to prevent dirt build up.
  
  
• Once a year turn the carpet u side down and give it  gentle vacuming.
  
  
• Another ecellent idea is to turn your carpet around once a year to prevent repeated wear in the same area of your carpet.

Washing

• It is possible to wash the carpetat home with a baby shampoo. Never use soap, ammonia, bleach or other cleaners intended for use on hard surfaces. Do not ever wet the carpet as this can harm the backing material. After shampooing leave the carpet in shade to dry completly.
  
  
• However it is better if the carpet is professionally washed once in 3-5 years depending upon its use.
